MINDEN - Two departments battled a house fire to prevent it from consuming the whole home Wednesday afternoon.

Fayette County Dispatchers said the call came in just after 4:00 p.m. at a residence on Duncan Road in Minden.  Officials said nobody was home when it started and no injuries were reported.

The Oak Hill and Fayetteville Fire Deparments responded to the scene.

Oak Hill Fire Lieutenant Shaun Conley told Newswatch that the house had fire damage in the back and there was heavy smoke damage throughout it's entirety.
