PINEY VIEW - A Piney View store owner released surveillance video of the recent robbery of his local package store.

The owner of Smith's Corner Packette said a man walked into his store Wednesday, and took money from the cash register while an employee was on the phone. He described the suspect as a man between 25 to 30 years of age, driving a black Honda. The employee working during the robbery, said the man bought a few snack cakes and when she opened the cash register to make change, he grabbed a stack of bills and ran out the door. Workers said the man is a frequent customer and they have given his physical description to officials in hopes of making a quick arrest.

The amount of cash stolen has not been released at this time.

Store owner, Lowell Smith, summed it up; "the girl was on the phone with the credit card machine people, we were having trouble with the credit cards. He observed that and took advantage of it."

The Beckley State Police Department is still investigating the robbery.
