Catholic Charities looked for youth mentors

WELCH - Catholic Charities West Virginia sought adults who are willing to participate in a youth mentoring program in McDowell County.

It aimed at reducing the truancy and antisocial behaviors among the county's youth while improving their development and school achievements.  Catholic Charities was involved in the project along with Reconnecting McDowell, the WVU Extension Service, and McDowell County Public Schools. 

A meet and greet was scheduled for Thursday at Mount View Middle School in Welch.  For more information about the program, folks can call (304)-425-4306.
