OAK HILL - A Raleigh County man was charged with two misdemeanors after police said he stripped a house of copper in Oak Hill.

Douglas Mills, 39, of Bradley, was apprehended at around 3:00 a.m. Monday after Oak Hill officers said they found Mills and a 17-year-old juvenile walking on East Main Street with a large bag.  Officers said that Mills admitted to taking the copper from a vacant home on Harvey Avenue.  He's currently charged with destruction of property and petit larceny, but officials said he could face felonies later on.

Mills was booked in Southern Regional Jail.
