Man pleads guilty to DUI causing death

PRINCETON - A Mercer County man plead guilty for his role in a fatal accident from 2012.

Eric Perdue, 31, of Bluefeld plead guilty Monday before Judge Omar Aboulhosn for DUI resulting in death. Perdue was charged after a fatal accident in August of 2012.

A report by the Mercer County Sheriffs Department said Perdue was the driver of a pickup truck that crossed the center line on Route 123 near Brushfork and collided with a car driven by Sherri Watkins, 41, who was killed as a result. Two other people were also injured in the crash.

Perdue's blood alcohol level was .379 the scene of the accident. He will be sentenced in March.
