OCEANA – Police in Oceana and Beckley are searching for a local woman who attempted to break-in to a Wyoming County pharmacy last month.

Chief Jeff Barlow of the Oceana Police Department said Rachel Altice, 35, of Beckley allegedly tried prying open the side door of Westside Pharmacy twice on the morning of November 9. Around 3:57 a.m., Altice allegedly tried prying open the door with a knife. Police arrived on scene after the alarm went off but could not find the suspect.

Then another alarm went off at 4:49 a.m. after Altice allegedly tried throwing a brick at the door, according to Barlow. She never entered the building.

Barlow explained Altice is not facing any charges yet and that police just want to question her about the incident.

Altice drove a two-door white Chrysler Sebring with license plate 4WF574. Anyone with information is asked to call Oceana Police at 304-682-8311.
