Humane Society of Raleigh Co. seeks fosters

BECKLEY – The Humane Society of Raleigh County needs folks to foster a dog or cat as winter approaches.

Because the Humane Society is a no-kill shelter, workers said the foster program allows them to bring in more animals as necessary. If you are interested in fostering and already have pets, they should be up-to-date on their shots and have the bordetella vaccine. It is also preferred that your pets are spayed or neutered.

Adoption Counselor Joyce Stover said fostering helps with the need for shelter space, which can be greater in the winter.

Foster applications are available at the humane society on Grey Flats Road in Beckley.
