MERCER COUNTY - A Mercer County man awaits another pre-trial after his role in a fatal automobile accident this past August.

31 year old Eric Perdue is charged with a DUI causing death from the accident that occurred in late august. Mercer County Sheriffs Department said Perdue's truck crossed the center line and collided with a car driven by 41 year old Sherri Watkins. Watkins was killed and two other people were hurt in the accident. Perdue's BAC was .379 at the scene of the accident. More evidence is needed before the actual trial.

Assistant prosecuting Attorney for Mercer County, Kelli Harshburger, said "anytime you have a serious case like this it's normal to have more than one preliminary hearing or pre-trial hearing and that's basically what we're having here; this is a serious matter and there are evidentiary issues and both sides are perusing and making sure that we do comply with the courts orders."

The final pre-trial for this case has been set for January 7th.
