PRINCETON - One man is dead and another is placed on house-arrest after an early morning shooting at a Mercer County bar.

Deputies responded to a shooting at Club Maximus on Courthouse Road in Princeton at 3:30 Sunday morning. According to Sheriff Don Meadows, a 35 year old Princeton man died from multiple gunshot wounds sustained in the incident.  His identity has yet to be released. 32 year old Morrisette Leggett of Bluefield turned himself into police.  Leggett has been charged with first-degree murder and placed on a $50,000 bond.

"There were several witnesses at the scene that we spoke with and took statements from who, in general, named a suspect at that point in time. While we were processing the scene Mr. Leggett brought himself forward to Bluefield Police Department," said Det. Cpl. L.B Murphy of the Mercer County Sheriff's Dept.

Officials said the motive appears to be domestic related involving a woman whose name has not yet been released.
