BECKLEY - Southern West Virginia
officials gathered in Beckley to discuss with legislators different solutions
to ongoing issues in the area.
The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of
Commerce (BRCCC) held their second annual Legislative Luncheon Thursday afternoon.
Speakers talked about issues regarding prevailing wage, highways and the drug
Victor Flanagan, chairman of BRCCC, said
the luncheon is a way to get feedback about what can be done through the
legislative system. “We had
a wonderful discussion last year and anytime we can have a forum like this that
we can get as many as possible together, we like to try to do it.”
Representatives from sectors such as
business, education and law enforcement took part in the forum.
