BECKLEY - One school in Beckley is hosting a bazaar fundraiser, and no we don't mean it's out of the ordinary or weird.

The Maxwell Hill Elementary School is holding their 3rd Annual School Bazaar Fundraiser where vendors are welcome to sell their items to parents, teachers and people in the community. It's part of the Parent Teacher Organizations fundraiser for the winter holidays. They stress that there isn't enough money in the budget to buy extra books, new mulch for the playground and other miscellaneous items, so they hold the event.

"Those are things we want to do for our kids and so the PTO does help fund those type of things but we have to have money to do that, so you can't just do that with money from the ball game that's not going to do it for you so we have to go out there and do other fundraising events," said Angela Mullins.

She says they expect to raise around $2,000 from the event.
