LEWISBURG - Two Raleigh County men were arrested in the past 24 hours for their alleged role in a Greenbrier County shooting back in September.

Aaron Russell Clemens, 22, of Beckley, and Alonzo Wilson Martin, 21, of Beaver, were each charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The shooting happened in Rupert back on September 13.  Two men sustained injuries in the incident.  One received a gunshot wound to the leg, the other to head.  Both victims have since recovered.

Chief Deputy Bruce Sloan with the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Office said that investigators have been hard at work since the shooting and were able to recover the suspect's vehicle in Raleigh County.  Sloan also said that with the help of the West Virginia State Police and Beckley City Police they were able to arrest two suspects.  He said he expects additional people will be charged in connection to the incident.

Both Clemens and Martin are in Southern Regional Jail awaiting their arraignments.
