TAZEWELL, Va. - A Tazewell County man was arrested Wednesday after U.S. Customs agents seized $12,000 worth of "bath salts" in a package addressed to him.
David Rudolph Taylor was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a schedule I/II controlled substance after officers with the Tazewell County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at his residence on Pounding Mill Branch Road.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the Department of Homeland Security informed deputies that a package that contained four ounces of "bath salts" was seized by U.S. Customs in Anchorage, Alaska. Officials said that Taylor ordered the drugs from China.
Taylor's currently being held without bond in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.
