BECKLEY - New River Community and Technical College (NRCTC) partnered with an online continuing education program to offer hundreds of online courses.
The college has a growing catalog of more than 300 instructor-led online courses, thanks to a partnership with ed2go. College officials said many of these courses are technical-based, such as Using Social Media in Business. Anyone can take these courses and no minimum of credits are required.
“It's a non-traditional student schedule basically,” explained Libby Belcher, communications officer at NRCTC. “A non-traditional way of getting course work - and so they can do that, learn a skill and never leave their house.”
Belcher said these courses are a good way for working adults to brush up on skills or learn new skills. New sessions of each six-week course run every month.
