BECKLEY - Motorcycle riders tried their hands at poker today to raise money for the WVU Children's Hospital.
It's all part of the poker run organized by local Kroger stores. Bikers drove to five Kroger stores across four counties and picked up a playing card at each. The person with the best and worst poker hand each won a prize. Organizers say they're happy to raise money to help better the lives of sick children.
"People travel from all over the state, all over the region, to have their children attended to at the WVU Children's Hospital, so it's a very very important cause to Kroger and the entire state," said Rachael Messier.
Organizers also say bikers traveled from across the area to participate in Saturday's fundraiser.
