CHARLESTON - Revenues from limited video lottery machines at bars and clubs in the state are on the decline.
The West Virginia Lottery Commission reported that limited video lottery revenues fell 6.5% to $63 million in July and August compared with the same two months of last year.
Lottery Director John Musgrave said the revenue drop was attributed to a downturn in customer visits to the states bars, clubs, and fraternal organizations during the warm weather months and the economy.
For August, lottery revenues were down 5.8% from 2012.
