OCEANA - An Oceana councilman's son was arrested on seven warrants early Wednesday morning.
Timothy Ray Morgan, 30, of Oceana, was charged with three counts of petit larceny, destruction of property, unlawful possession of a deadly weapon, attempted break-in of a vehicle, and attempted burglary. Assistant Chief Richard Paynter said that Morgan was accused of a string of vehicle break-ins that were reported at the end of last week.
Morgan was taken into custody at his father's Maple Avenue home at around 2:00 a.m.
Paynter said that officers know of at least three vehicle break-ins, but suspect there could be more. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Oceana Police Department.
