CHARLESTON - Drivers felt less pain to their wallets at the pump this week, the cost of a gallon of gas dropped seven cents.
AAA East Central said the average cost for a gallon of regular unleaded in the Mountain State is $3.52, but that's still six cents higher than the nation's average. The price cut is good news for West Virginia drivers because the statewide average was now recorded as 35 cents cheaper that at this time last year.
