BECKLEY - The new iPhone is flying off shelves faster than analysts predicted.
More than nine million of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models were sold from Friday through Sunday, according to Apple's announcement Tuesday.
AT&T in Beckley debuted the new phones Friday morning and sold out of their in-store supply by 11 a.m, so many customers had to order the phone. Assistant Store Manager Mary Bowman said it was their biggest iPhone launch yet. "It seems like every year it gets bigger and more exciting and the lines get larger," she explained.
Bowman said the iPhone 5s offers a new processor and identity touch, while the iPhone 5c also offers a color option.
