CHARLESTON - The leader of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human resources said the agency needed to take a closer look at it's operations after an audit that was ordered by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin.
Among the 78 recommendations, the audit urged major changes in health services and it suggested restructuring it into two divisions that dealt with health care and human resources. DHHR Secretary Karen Bowling said the agency agreed with some suggestions, but not with others. Bowling said more information would be provided to help refine some of the findings.
