SALEM - State corrections officials are scheduled to begin moving juvenile offenders out of a facility in Harrison County this week.
Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety spokesman Lawrence Messina said that 16 juvenile sex offenders will head to the Sam Perdue Juvenile Center in Bluefield and six others with behavioral or mental issues will go to the James H. "Tiger" Morton Juvenile Center in Kanawha County.
Back in July, Mercer County Circuit Judge Omar Aboulhosn ordered the state to relocate the Industrial Home for Youth in Salem, or it's residents by the end of September. He had condemned the conditions at the center.
