POE - Morning rains flooded roads and rose water levels in Nicholas County.
On Route 129 in Poe, water took over several places like Backus Branch Road. The water streamed onto the roadways, caused rocks to spill over, and forced drivers to remain cautious.
"Two o'clock this morning it woke me up, and I think it was going at six o'clock this morning," said William Morris, "It was a bad rain, but I'm just trying to clean this up before somebody may bust a tire coming through here cause there were a lot of rocks and all kinds of stuff in the road, it was bad. It takes a good, hard rain for it to do this."
The area was no longer under a flash flood watch.
