OAK HILL - A car flipped over in Fayette County Thursday morning, but no one was hurt.
Police said it happened at around 8:50 a.m. on Virginia Street in Oak Hill. They said the car was headed Southbound when the driver lost control of the vehicle around a curve in the road. The car exited the roadway on the right side, hit the embankment, and flipped. Officers said the driver was shaken, but unharmed. They said the road's slippery condition was a contributing factor to the crash.
"The vehicle had tires that were a little worn and they broke traction," said Officer Jack Brown with the Oak Hill Police Department.
Two area fire departments and Oak Hill Police were the responding agencies. Officers said they see many accidents on that part of the road.
