OAK HILL - An Oak Hill man was arrested in connection to an arson in Fayette County over the weekend.

Christian Warrick, 31, was charged with first degree arson and nighttime burglary after deputies said he burglarized and set fire to a home on North Errington Road in the Prudence Area.  Warrick was arraigned in Magistrate Court and released on $25,000 bond.

The fire happened early Saturday morning, and investigators said it started in the living room to hide the fact that it had been burglarized.  The homeowner was not at the residence because he's currently in jail on drug charges.  According to a criminal complaint, investigators were able to watch surveillance video of the crime and were able to identify Warrick as a potential suspect.  The complaint further states that when police confronted him about the evidence, he confessed to committing the crime.

The incident remained under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Fayette County Sheriff's Office at (304)-574-4216, CrimeStoppers at (304)-255-7867, or submit tips through the "Crime Tips" section of the Sheriff's Office website, or through the department's Facebook page.
