BECKLEY - Automobile enthusiasts are out enjoying the weekend because Saturday was the Best of West Virginia car show at the Tamarack in Beckley.
The Shade Tree Car Club put on the event that featured all different types of cars from the classics, to the modern looking cars. There were even motorcycles and yes, a motorized bike. This is one of the car club's five shows for the year that benefits the Jackie Withrow Hospital, Hospice and the Raleigh County Animal Shelter.
"We show all the time and we enjoy doing that and it's a camaraderie. You see a lot of people you see all the time and you put your vehicle on display so other people that have never seen it, or has seen it and like it, can see it again and can take a look at it and just a good day, just a good fun time," said David Thompson.
Registration to enter the car show is $15 but it is free to be a spectator.
