UPDATE: State troopers told Newswatch that the two men injured in the shooting incident were "good samaritans" who attempted to stop a break in at a mobile home nearby.
RUPERT - Newswatch has learned that two men are injured in what officials called a drive by shooting in Greenbrier County.
The incident happened at 2:11 Friday morning at the intersection of Anjean Road and Route 60 in Rupert. A source close to Newswatch said that police are looking for a maroon Pontiac Grand Am with temporary tags. That source also said a heavy-set white man with a beard was driving and there were two passengers in the car.
The two men injured were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation, and officials there tell us more information will be released later on in the day.
