ANSTED - A food company donated $100,000 worth of products to children in need across West Virginia.

White House Foods donated five truckloads of their Handi Fruit pouches to Mountaineer Food Bank to support Hunger Action Month, according to company officials. The company owns Blue Smoke Salsa, whose officials helped organize the donation.

Robin Hildebrand, president of Blue Smoke Salsa, said she was happy to be a part of the large-scale donation. “We believe in helping all of those in need and those who cannot help themselves,” she said.

The food will be sent to Mountaineer Food Bank's Backpack Program for needy children.
