CHARLESTON - West Virginia flags in parts of the state will be lowered next week to honor former Delegate Thomas Eberly Myles.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said flags at the Capitol Complex and state-owned facilities in Fayette County will be lowered to half-staff from dawn to dusk on Monday, when a memorial service for Myles was scheduled.

Myles passed away in early August at the age of 90.  He was appointed to the House of Delegates from Fayette County in 1955 and was elected the following year.  He served in the legislature until 1972.
