CHARLESTON - The West Virginia Treasurer's Office is letting unclaimed property owners know the state is holding assets for them.

The office will begin distributing this information Tuesday in the latest round of newspaper inserts. State code stipulates that such inserts be published.

About 13,000 names are included in the latest tabloid-size publication, which will be distributed until September 12. In the 2013 fiscal year, the Treasurer's Office returned $6.2 million in unclaimed assets to owners.
