ALDERSON - The town of Alderson is still celebrating the sesquicentennial with a traveling exhibit that is on display for a few more days.
The award-winning exhibit, "Born of Rebellion: West Virginia Statehood," is at the Greenbrier River Interpretive Center (GRIC). The presentation details the history of how West Virginia became a state.
Officials for the center said they hope folks appreciate learning about the mountain state. "I hope it'll help them enjoy their pride in being West Virginians, said Marj Moody of the GRIC. "It's a wonderful state and our statehood is unique."
The exhibit is open until July 10. The GRIC will be open on the Fourth of July.
