UPDATE: A child that was reported to be abducted is now safe, and her mother has been apprehended.

Captain Jim Sizemore with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department confirms that a 4 year-old little girl that was apparently abducted by her mother has been safely recovered. The mother, Jessica Miller was apprehended Wednesday night in Virginia Beach, VA.

Miller is charged with concealment or removal of a minor child from a custodian in violation of court order. This is a felony charge and she will be extradited back to West Virgina.

FAYETTEVILLE- Police are asking for help to find a 4-year-old child who has been reported missing in Fayette County.

The child is described as a 4-year-old white female,  3.4 inches tall, she weighs about 35 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes.  The girl's father, who has full custody, says she was last seen in the Oak Hill area on Sunday and he believes she was taken by her mother.  The Fayette County Sheriff's Department says the mother's name is Jessica Lynn Miller, and that because of her associations with drug abusers the child is in danger.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (304)574-4216.
