Medicaid decision

CHARLESTON - Governor Earl Ray Tomblin announces an expansion of Medicaid to more West Virginians, but his administration says the road to this decision was anything but easy.  The governor began looking at options to open Medicaid to more low-income citizens back in June when the Supreme Court upheld the federal healthcare law that called all states to expand the program.  He initially explored a more partial and gradual implementation last summer, but after months of financial analysis and inquiries, Tomblin announced last week that he will adopt the federal overhaul's provision.
