BLUEFIELD - Interstate 77 in Mercer County will remain closed through Wednesday night due to large rock slide.

Officials say the rocks are blocking traffic at mile marker 3 between Princeton and Bluefield. Traffic is being redirected, Northbound travelers will need to take exit 1 and travel US-460 to the exit 9 at Princeton. The land is still very unstable and there is a risk that more rock could fall. Contractors will be evaluating the slide.
