VICTOR-A Fayette County man was arrested Wednesday night after authorities say he tried to stop two fire departments from putting out a fire at his home.
50-year-old Ralph Bostick of Victor is facing two counts of obstructing firefighters, defrauding a public utility and public intoxication. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail. The fire took place just before 6pm Wednesday in Bostick’s Saturday Road home. About 25 firefighters from Nuttall and Ansted Fire Departments responded to the fire.
Chief Joe Crist with the Ansted Fire Department says the structure is a total loss. “Upon arrival, we found the trailer fully involved, fallen in. It's basically a total loss. We're going to treat it as suspicious in nature right now.”
The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes and no one was hurt.
