CHARLESTON - State senators continue to hammer out the details of the governor's education reform bill before bringing it to a vote. The bill would include programs for pre-kindergarten kids as well as college loan repayment options, but its revision of teacher hiring processes is one of the most controversial points. Senators say a number of teachers groups and unions have expressed opposition to some of the proposed changes, such as not prioritizing seniority when hiring.
