GLEN JEAN - The West Virginia National Guard is likely facing personnel cuts as a result of the sequestration.  Lieutenant Colonel David Lester says that 962 jobs will be affected in the Mountain State, and that 56 of those are scheduled to be terminated immediately.  The remaining 906 jobs will be furloughed, which means that beginning in April, those individuals will lose one pay day a week.  This will result in about a 20 percent pay cut.  Lieutenant Colonel Lester says most of these jobs are aircraft maintenance, and that the Guard will be able to continue operating effeciently.  Meanwhile, Senator Joe Manchin says he is still fighting to keep these cuts from being enforced.
