No new trial

PRINCETON - A Mercer County man is sentenced once again to prison after a judge denies his motion for a new trial.  Corey Samuels appeared before Judge Sadler in Princeton on Wednesday to ask for another murder trial due to several complaints about the procedure of his first one.  After hearing from his lawyer, Judge Sadler decided not to grant the motion.  He sentenced Samual to life in prison with the possiblity of parole after 15 years.  Samuels was originally convicted in May of 2012 for the first degree murder of Dewayne Steptoe outside Club Savoy in September of 2009.
