GLEN DANIEL - Gas prices have jumped almost 17 cents a gallon during the past in West Virginia. According to Gas Buddy's daily survey of more than 1000 gas outlets in the Mountain State, prices now average around $3.84. That compares to the national average that rose almost 12 cents to $3.68 a gallon. Including these changes, gas prices are about 22 cents higher than a year ago and 45 cents higher than last month. Experts say the prices will likely continue to rise.
