CLAYPOOL HILL: A new development in a double homicide investigation that's almost four years old.  Police announce that they've arrested the victims' son and charged him with two counts of capital murder.

The Tazewell County Sheriff's Office said that Christopher Dean Looney, 32, killed his parents Harvey and Valerie Looney at their Pizza Plus Restaurant in Claypool Hill back in March of 2009 on the night of their 29th wedding anniversary.  Their bodies were found in the morning hours of March 30, 2009, after what appeared to be a robbery turned violent.  There weren't any witnesses or surveillance video of what had happened.

Authorities said Looney came in for questioning Wednesday and his answers led to his arrest.  Looney was arraigned Thursday morning and is being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority without bond.

Looney was Harvey and Valerie's only son.
