SOPHIA - Services will still be held for a church in Sophia that was burned to the ground last weekend.

The fire happened at Gospel Truth Lighthouse Church in Sophia last Sunday. Pastor Roy Garretson said a service will be held on Sunday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Sophia.

Garretson said he is appreciative of those who have reached out to him over the past week. "God has a way of making things better for all of us, no matter what happens in our life," he said.

Services will be held there on Sunday nights until further notice.
