A Mercer County businessman is behind bars Wednesday, after police found an enormous amount of drugs on his property.
Bluefield Police say Tyler Thorpe, 71, of Roanoke Street in Bluefield is in custody after more than 800 hydromorphone pills were discovered. Investigators say the pills were found after attaining search warrants for both his home and T & K Laundromat where he is co-owner.
He has been charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance as well as Possession of Controlled Substances with Intent to Deliver, additional charges are pending.
Thorpe is being held at the Southern Regional Jail on $500,000 cash or surety bond.
