A house fire in Fayette County Saturday evening calls multiple crews to help put out the flames.
Firefighters were called to a house on Railroad Street in Gauley Bridge around 6 o'clock. When they arrived flames filled the downstairs of the home. Though there is a lot of damage to the house, firefighters called it a save.
"Smoke and flames visible from the first floor. We got a good interior attack there was some extension to the attic and we got in and got it stopped what could have been potential home ownership loss, was a really good save," said Gauley Bridge Volunteer Fire Fighter, Scott Neish.
No one was hurt in the fire. Gauley Bridge, Boomer, Smithers, and Montgomery Volunteer Fire Departments all responded to the scene.
