A Craigsville man is behind bars, closing the books on several arson cases.

Austin Cox, 21, was arrested Sunday for allegedly setting fires in several buildings in Nicholas County from January to July, 2012.  This was a joint arrest made by the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department, The West Virginia State Police, and the Central Regional Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force.  Chief Deputy P.J. O'Dell of the Nicholas County Sheriff's Dept. says everyone's relieved he's behind bars.

"It's been a lot of pressure and a lot of stress on all the agencies, and we're just very thankful that we were able to make an arrest.  A lot of work went into this investigation," O'Dell says.

Cox is in Central Regional Jail on a $2.7 million bond.
