StormWatch Snowfall Forecast

Good evening to everyone in southern West Virginia!

A significant winter storm is moving into the region tonight and causing school cancellations for much of the WOAY-TV viewing area.

Tune into the NewsWatch at 11 for the latest update as meteorologist Mike Lichniak tracks the storm live using our exclusive 3DLive weather equipment.

Then, at 4 a.m. meteorologist Shane Smith will be here to update you on all school closings and weather alerts for the area. Tune into the NewsWatch at 6 a.m. and Noon for the latest updates as Shane tracks the sub-zero wind chills and snowfall.

Lastly, tune into the NewsWatch at 6 and 11 p.m. for the latest snowfall amounts and an in depth look at how much more snow we will receive Monday night and Tuesday. Also, I will have an early look at the forecast for the next winter storm expected to arrive Thursday for much of the area.
