Greenbrier Co. authorities searching for suspect of armed robbery at video lottery lounge

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS - A video lottery lounge in Greenbrier County fell victim to an early morning armed robbery.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. at Lewee's on U.S. Route 60 near White Sulphur Springs, according to Chief Deputy Bruce Sloan.

Sloan said the employee told officers she walked outside of the business when she was approached by a man wearing a dark-colored hoodie and a green bandana over his face. The suspect reportedly pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded she give him the money from the register.

The perpetrator is described as a white man, around 5’ 9” tall, with a slender build. He left on-foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, heading east on U.S. Route 60, according to Sloan.
