WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS - Events as extravagant as the PGA Tour are known to draw a massive crowd and residents of White Sulphur Springs said they notice the drastic increase, especially because the event grows every year.
Residents in White
Sulphur Springs said they are used to the commotion during Greenbrier Classic
week. While restaurants and hotels enjoy the spike in business, locals notice
just how busy the downtown area gets. Plus, there is currently a construction
site in the middle of Main Street. One resident, more patient than most, told Newswatch
her feelings about the week’s traffic.
"Well it's a little bit heavier but it really doesn't bother me that much.
They've got it where it's really flowing easy. Police officers from town are
really doing a good job," said Regina Webster.
Police officers have heightened security on the roadways as they try to keep
motorists and pedestrians safe.
