PRINCETON - A former Concord University police officer pleaded guilty to sexual abuse involving a minor.

Randy Keith Cordle, 47, entered the plea Thursday in Mercer County Circuit Court. Cordle was arrested in June of 2012 and later indicted on six charges.

Under the plea agreement, five charges are dismissed in exchange for a guilty plea to a single count of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian.  The felony charge is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Sentencing is set for April 15. Sergeant M. D. Clemons with the State Police Crimes Against Children Unit said none of the abuse happened at the university. Cordle no longer works for campus police.
