Woman injured after vehicle wound up in creek

NAOMA - A woman was sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after emergency responders found her vehicle in a creek.

Raleigh County dispatchers said it happened just after midnight in Naoma.  They said callers told them that a vehicle was in Drews Creek.  The victim was taken to Raleigh General Hospital after she complained of neck and back pain.  Officials said her injuries weren't serious.  

The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office, Jan-Care Ambulance, and Coal River Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.
