TAZEWELL - Two men are behind bars and facing felony charges following a home invasion in Tazewell County last week.

Deputies arrested, Erik Lee Wickham and Jesse James Stevenson Thursday night. Stevenson is charged with possession of stolen property with intent to sell. Wickham is charged with one Count of breaking and entering and three counts of forgery.

Deputies say the two broke into a home in the Springville area on January 20th. The homeowners reported most of their belongings were stolen and that their home suffered thousands of dollars in damage. Deputies later received tips that a suspect had passed checks at a local business that were stolen from the homeowners, which lead to a detective finding many of the victims' items valued in the thousands at area pawn shops.

Deputies found the suspects and recovered many of the stolen items. Wickham and Stevenson are in Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.

Anyone with information related to the crime is asked to call Detective Ron Holt at 276-988-1158.
